A. D. Livingston biography from his 1973 book Dealing With
Cheats: "A.D. Livingston began playing poker at the age of
twelve. He has written about the game in Life magazine;
Southern Airways magazine, Southern Scene; and Sports
Illustrated. He is the author of Poker Strategy and Winning
Play." Livingston is also one of the first people to write
about the poker variation that is now known as "Texas
Hold'em."Livingston
