Jefferson
Randolph "Soapy" Smith was a legendary con man and cheat who
made his reputation in Skagway Alaska during the Yukon Gold
Rush of 1897. He was an expert at the "Three Shell Game" and
got the nickname of Soapy from his scam of selling soap that
supposedly could contain hidden cash. He also operated
several gambling establishments around the United States. |
