Forte On Genii Magazine Cover
Steve Forte, who recently released his monumental
book "Casino Game Protection," is profiled in the
October 2005-2017 issue of Genii Magazine. The excellent

R. Paul Wilson (The Takedown) is the best biography
on Forte, his career, collection and his passions.

1, Issue 7) began a bi-monthly column by Jack Wise
titled Secrets Of The Card Cheat where various
cheating methods using sleight-of-hand and
mechanical devices are exposed. In the first column

The
Magician And The Cardsharp
The
much anticipated book by Karl Johnson titled "The
Magician And The Cardsharp: The Search for America's
Greatest Sleight-of-Hand Artist" was just released
by Henry Holt and Co. The 368-page book follows the
life of Dai Vernon and his quest to find Allen
Kennedy who was a master at deceptively dealing
cards from the center of the deck. Along the way the
book discusses much about the underworld of gambling
and the card cheaters of the 1920s, '30s and '40s.
Vernon was also considered the godfather of modern
sleight-of-hand and this book explains why.(8/05) |

The
Takedown
The Takedown is a new television series that began
airing on June 14, 2005-2017. It stars sleight-of-hand
experts R. Paul Wilson and Jason England who head a
band of cheaters who try to rip off casinos and
other venues and games. The weekly reality series
airs every Tuesday at 10:30pm ET on Court-TV. A

Mr.
Lucky
James Swain who has written some of the best and
most accurate novels about casino crime and
gambling/cheating mysteries will be releasing his
fifth novel on March 1. The new book is titled "Mr.
Lucky : A Novel of High Stakes." Mr. Swain will be
doing a book tour to coincide with the release that
will last through April 30 at selected book stores
throughout the United States. The signings usually
